Lava Glass
Pink & White Terraces Teardrop Large 11335
Pink and White Terraces Teardrop Large 11335. Inspired by the Pink and White Terraces which were once a dominant feature on the shores of Lake Rotomahana.
Considered the 8th Wonder of the World, these giant staircases or waterfalls were formed as silica-rich water flowed down the hillside from boiling geysers. The Pink and White Terraces were the original New Zealand tourism destination until they were buried in the 1886 eruption of Mt Tarawera.
An original piece of glass art. Excellently suited as collectors item or interior design centrepiece. Handblown by award-winning glass artist Lynden Over in his Lava Glass Studio in Taupo, New Zealand. Signed and dated by the artist.
H 305 mm x W 270 mm x D 160 mm
