For Maori, pounamu is of great cultural and spiritual value and is considered tapu or sacred. In traditional Maori life, pounamu was used for everything from jewellery and adornments signifying the wearer's mana or status, to tools and weapons.

Once your product has been shipped, it usually takes 2 to 3 business days within New Zealand, 9 to 11 working days to Australia, 10 to 15 working days to the rest of the world. As soon as we ship your parcel we'll send you an email with its tracking number.
National
Online purchases shipped within New Zealand are delivered by New Zealand Post. Please note: Because all our parcels require a signature, we don't deliver to PO boxes.
International
We ship our glass art internationally with New Zealand Post. New Zealand Post cooperates with major local courier partners such as the US Postal Service (USA), Parcelforce (UK), La Post (FR), Deutsche Post (DE), Österreichische Post (AT).
We do not ship to the following countries: Barbados, Estonia, Israel, Russia, South Africa, Isle of Man.
Please track your parcel using the tracking number provided to you – should your parcel get held in its destination’s customs, you are responsible for getting in touch with your local post office to sort its final delivery. You are also obligated to pay any additional costs that may arise, such as import taxes.
If you fail to collect your parcel and it is returned to us, you are responsible for the return postage back to you. If your item(s) arrive damaged, please email us (admin@lavaglass.nz) photos of the damage, INCLUDING photos of all the packaging in which it arrived.
